The N2-GEN TS, CS, and S series generators produce nitrogen on demand using Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) technology. These systems are engineered as turnkey nitrogen generation packages and are individually tuned, tested, and certified to meet the required nitrogen flow rate and purity for the application.

Who this article is for
This content is intended for installers, equipment operators, and supervisory personnel responsible for the installation, operation, and maintenance of the system.
What the TS, CS, and S designations mean
South-Tek builds this family in three skid configurations. They share the same PSA process and controls and differ mainly in how much of the package is integrated onto the skid. The sieve beds and the cabinet are mounted on the skid in every configuration; the difference is whether the nitrogen storage tank and the inlet filtration are integrated or shipped separately.
| Designation | Nitrogen storage tank | Inlet filtration | Relative size and model range |
|---|---|---|---|
| TS — Tank Skid | Mounted on the skid | Integrated on the skid | Smallest · N2-GEN-100 through N2-GEN-180 |
| CS — Cabinet Skid | Separate | 3-stage, mounted on the skid | Medium · N2-GEN-190 through N2-GEN-240 |
| S — Skid | Separate | Separate | Largest · N2-GEN-250 through N2-GEN-510 |
Models are offered in increments of 10, from the N2-GEN-100 up to the N2-GEN-510.
How the system works
These generators use carbon molecular sieve (CMS) and alternating adsorption beds to separate nitrogen from compressed air. Clean, dry compressed air passes through the system, and the generator produces nitrogen to the connected storage tank based on the system’s programmed operating logic.
Typical system features
- Programmable logic controller (PLC) with touchscreen interface
- Pressure swing adsorption beds
- Nitrogen storage pressure monitoring
- Safety relief valves
- Nitrogen storage tank
- Incoming air filtration and regulation on applicable models
