This article explains how the generator holds nitrogen purity during normal use: the pressure-based cut-in and cut-out cycling that drives standby, and the optional EverPure feature that protects purity during long idle periods. It also covers the Remote Start toggle.

Purity basics
Nitrogen purity is set at the factory to your unit's specification, anywhere from 95% to 99.999%, and is shown as the purity set-point on the home screen. If your unit includes the oxygen analyzer option, live purity is displayed and can be trended on the graph screen (see the Oxygen Analyzer & Sensor Calibration article). The system holds purity in two ways: by cycling production on storage-tank pressure, and, on units with EverPure, by purging after long idle periods.
Pressure cut-in and cut-out
A pressure transducer measures the nitrogen storage tank pressure and reports it to the controller, which uses it to set the cut-in and cut-out points and run the system efficiently. When the tank reaches the cut-out pressure, the generator enters standby: air delivery to the generator stops, so nitrogen production stops. It stays in standby until tank pressure falls to the cut-in pressure, then resumes separating oxygen from the compressed air and refilling the tank.

Standby
Standby is the paused state the generator enters at the cut-out pressure. Production stops and the unit waits, drawing minimal energy, until tank pressure falls back to the cut-in pressure and production resumes. This automatic cycling between cut-out and cut-in is normal operation and is what keeps the tank topped up without running continuously.
EverPure (optional)
EverPure is an optional smart purging feature that keeps the storage tank at or better than design purity even during long periods of inactivity or low-flow use. On units equipped with it, an Extended Standby Time field and a "# Cycles After Extended Standby" field appear below the cut-in/cut-out values on the Pressure Settings screen.
- Extended standby. When there is no nitrogen demand for a while, such as evenings or weekends, the system enters an extended standby state once it has been in standby for at least the Extended Standby Time (for example, 10 minutes). If it returns to normal operation before that time elapses, the timer resets.
- Purge on return. The next time the system returns to normal operation (when the tank falls to the cut-in pressure), it runs an internal purge for the set number of cycles before delivering nitrogen to the tank. This prevents short-cycling, which would otherwise allow a higher oxygen concentration in the tank than desired.
- Number of cycles. The "# Cycles After Extended Standby" value sets how many internal auto-purge cycles run before nitrogen is delivered to the tank.
Remote Start toggle
The Remote Start input lets an external signal start and stop the generator. It can be changed from a Normally Open to a Normally Closed configuration by enabling Remote Start in the Cut-In/Out Parameters. Consult the unit's wiring diagram for proper wiring, and have a qualified person make the connection.
