External Components
The following components are accessible from the exterior of the cabinet without removing any panels. Refer to this table when connecting the unit or interpreting system status.
| Item | Component | Function |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1/4" OD PTC bulkhead | Condensate drain — connect 1/4" OD tubing to route to a floor drain |
| 2 | 0–160 PSIG pressure gauge | Displays internal N₂ storage tank pressure |
| 3 | Hour meter | Cumulative unit operating hours — used to track filter and compressor service intervals |
| 4 | Illuminated toggle switch (green) | Unit power on/off — illuminated when system is powered and operating |
| 5 | Red indicator light | BlastOff™ leak detection alarm — illuminates when a downstream leak has been detected and the system has shut down |
| 6 | White indicator light | Filter or compressor service due — illuminates continuously when filter change is overdue; flashes when compressor is nearing end of service life |
| 7 | Amber indicator light | Unit in standby — storage tank is full; generator is idle and waiting for tank pressure to drop to cut-in (~60 PSIG) |
Indicator Light Summary
| Light | State | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Green (toggle switch) | Illuminated | System powered on and operating normally |
| Amber | Illuminated | Standby — tank full, generator idle |
| Red | Illuminated | BlastOff™ alarm — leak detected or 9-hr continuous run limit reached; system shut down |
| White | Illuminated continuously | Filter replacement overdue (1,000 hr / 1 year) |
| White | Flashing | Compressor nearing end of service life (8,000–12,000 hr) |
Customer Alarm Connections
The rear panel includes a 3-wire customer alarm port for remote monitoring. These contacts can be wired to an audible or visual alarm, or connected to a building management system (BMS). Contacts are rated for a maximum of 1A at 5–27VDC / 5–240VAC. Follow all local and site wiring regulations.
| Wire color | Terminal | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Yellow | CUST.ALARM COM | Common — supplies power to NO or NC depending on alarm state |
| Red | CUST.ALARM NC | Normally closed — also serves as a power loss indicator; will signal if the unit is unplugged or turned off unexpectedly |
| Brown | CUST.ALARM NO | Normally open — COM and NO connect when an alarm is active (BlastOff™, filter, or compressor alarm) |
ℹ NoteWhen any alarm is active — including BlastOff™, filter replacement, or compressor replacement — COM and NO will be connected and COM and NC will be disconnected. The NC terminal returning to open state also indicates the unit has lost power.
