Does NOT apply to: BrewBlast™ 40PPH, BrewBlast™ 70CPH — see BrewBlast™ 40PPH & 70CPH – Annual Filter Replacement
This article covers the annual filter replacement procedure for the BrewBlast™ 110CPH. All three filters must be replaced together using annual filter kit FRP-001. Replace annually or at 1,000 run hours, whichever comes first.
⚠ WarningPower down the unit and disconnect the power cord from the wall receptacle before beginning any maintenance. Do not attempt to service the filters with the unit running or pressurized.

Filters Covered by This Procedure
| Filter | Location | Function | Interval |
|---|---|---|---|
| Air intake filter (black and white) | Mounted on top of the integrated air compressor | Prevents particles from entering the compressor housing | 1 year or 1,000 hours |
| Particulate filter (white) | Filter assembly after the air compressor | Captures larger particulate (5 micron) before it enters the system | 1 year or 1,000 hours |
| Coalescing filter (gray) | Filter assembly after the air compressor | Captures moisture and fine particulate (0.1 micron) before it enters the system | 1 year or 1,000 hours |
Procedure
Preparation
- Push the green toggle switch to the OFF position.
- Disconnect the power cord from the wall receptacle.
- Allow the system to depressurize fully. The gauge on the filter assembly should read 0 PSIG before proceeding. Do not attempt to remove filter bowls under pressure.
- Remove the front cabinet cover to access the internal filter assembly and the Alarm Reset Button.
Air Intake Filter Replacement
- Locate the air intake filter on top of the integrated air compressor. It has a black and white cap.
- Remove the filter cap by twisting it clockwise.
- Pull out the old filter element and set it aside for disposal.
- Wipe the inside of the filter enclosure with a clean, dry cloth to remove any accumulated dust or debris before installing the new element.
- Install the new air intake filter element from kit FRP-001.
- Reinstall the cap by twisting it back into place.
Particulate and Coalescing Filter Replacement
- Confirm the gauge on the filter assembly reads 0 PSIG before touching the filter bowls.
- Unscrew both filter bowls by turning them counter-clockwise. Remove both bowls completely.
- Rinse any accumulated debris out of each bowl with warm water.
- Dry both bowls thoroughly with a clean, dry cloth.
- Replace the O-rings on both bowls using the O-rings provided in kit FRP-001. Discard the old O-rings.
- To replace the particulate element (white bowl):
- Pull the black plastic element holder out of the filter bowl.
- Carefully twist the two halves of the black plastic holder apart to separate them.
- Remove the white particulate filter element.
- Install the new particulate element and reassemble the holder in reverse order.
- To replace the coalescing element (gray bowl):
- Turn the coalescing element counter-clockwise by hand to remove it.
- Install the new coalescing element in reverse order.
- Once both new elements are installed and O-rings are in place, thread both filter bowls back onto their respective filter housings by turning them clockwise. Hand-tighten only — do not use tools to overtighten.
▲ AttentionDo not mix up the particulate (white) and coalescing (gray) bowls — each element is matched to its specific housing. Install each bowl back onto the same housing it was removed from.
Reset the Filter Timer and Return to Service
- With the front cover still off, locate the black and silver Alarm Reset Button inside the cabinet.
- Press and hold the Alarm Reset Button until the white "Alarm" indicator light flashes — this confirms the 1,000-hour run timer has been reset successfully.
- Replace the front cabinet cover.
- Reconnect the power cord to the wall receptacle.
- Push the green toggle switch to the ON position. The compressor will start after the 12-second startup delay and the unit will resume producing nitrogen.
- Monitor the system through its first pressurization cycle and check around the filter housings for any sign of leaks before leaving the site.
ℹ NoteReset the filter timer every time filters are replaced — even if the white alarm light was not yet illuminated. This keeps the 1,000-hour counter accurate and ensures the next filter alarm triggers on schedule.
