Air Filter Cleaning (Interim — Every 1,000 Hours)
Between element replacements, clean the air filter element by gently blowing compressed air from the inside out (clean side to dirty side). Do not wash. Replace if damaged or excessively contaminated.
Separator Element — Replacement Procedure
⚠ Warning Ensure all compressed air is completely discharged from the separator tank and system before removing the separator element. The separator operates under significant pressure.
- Press STOP. Lock out by pressing Emergency Stop. De-energize the compressor.
- Close the air outlet valve.
- Discharge all compressed air from the separator tank and system. Confirm zero pressure.
- Using a suitable filter wrench, remove the separator element.
- Clean the separator gasket seat with a clean cloth.
- Lightly lubricate the gasket on the new separator element with clean compressor oil.
- Install the new separator element by hand — thread on until the gasket seats, then tighten firmly by hand.
- Energize the compressor and run under load for several minutes. Inspect all connections for air leaks.
- Dispose of the used separator element per local environmental regulations.
ℹ Note — STSD / STSP / STSP2 Models These models include a separator O-ring/gasket as a separate serviceable part. Replace the separator O-ring/gasket at every 4,000 hours or 6 months alongside the separator element.
▲ Attention The separator element is a consumable and is not covered under warranty. Shortened replacement intervals apply in dusty, high-humidity, or high-temperature operating environments.
