Fire Protection Virtual Startup
Completing the VIRTUAL STARTUP will automatically upgrade your warranty from 12-months from shipment to 24-months from startup.
Once installation is complete and you are ready to commission your new N2 Generator, South-Tek will schedule a virtual call via phone or MS Teams to guide you through the following:
- Installation overview – review the installation and advise of any changes required.
- Compressor Commissioning – includes completing the factory warranty registration form, required for all CAS compressors.
- Initial Fill – To ensure the system meets NFPA requirements, our technician will provide instruction on putting the system into bypass mode and the initial system fill.
- N2 Generator Commissioning – instruction on switching the system from bypass to normal operation mode, initial generator tank fill, and check generator operation.
- APS Purge Setup – assist in the setup of each purge device to ensure that setup is correct for each zone/system based on your zone size.
- Power Saver Manifold (if applicable) – instruction on zone setup process and performance of a zone test on each zone. Upon completion we will assist you to enable “startup mode” on the manifold to avoid any premature purity alarms.
- Operation/Maintenance Training – including Preventative Maintenance requirements, system operation overview (inc. PLC navigation), parts identification, and correct usage of handheld analyzer to take purity readings from the APS.
Once the virtual startup is complete, you will be provided with a copy of the compressor and generator startup form, signed by our factory trained technician. These documents are required for proof of warranty and certify your system as properly installed and functional.
Virtual Startup provides you with our maximum 24-months warranty protection for your South-Tek Systems manufactured components. The completed & signed commissioning form also acts as proof of warranty commencement date.
