What does my warranty cover?

Commercial Units

Fire Protection, Commercial Lab, Transmission Line, & Beverage

1. Systems are warrantied against any defects in workmanship and materials for 12 months (or 1000 hours) from the date of shipment unless an extended warranty was purchased.
2. The purchaser has the liability to ensure that the system is fully inspected upon delivery and shall contact the appropriate shipping company to make any claims on damaged goods due to transit within that shipping company’s policies.
3. If the system is received with defects that are not due to shipping, a claim should be submitted
   to South-Tek Systems within 1 week of receiving the shipment. South-Tek Systems can deny all
   other claims at their discretion.  
4. Any work performed by an unauthorized person/company or usage of non-factory parts
   may void all warranties to the product.
5. Any item not manufactured by South-Tek i.e., external compressors, may carry its own warranty from its manufacturer and will be warrantied by that manufacturer.
6. All parts that need to be returned should be announced. Any item(s) that is returned to South-Tek Systems without an RMA number (return authorization number) may be denied and returned to the sender.
7. Contact the factory for RMA #’s, prior to return shipment.  Claims should be directed to [e-mail].  South-Tek Systems is not liable for damages caused by normal wear and tear, water, fire, erosion, corrosion, explosion, misuse, oil/gas vapors or unauthorized modifications. South-Tek Systems is also not liable for any losses (including CO2), damages, or cost of delays, including incidental or consequential damages. There are no warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, including the warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or use, other than those warranties expressed herein.

Industrial Units

1. Generators Warranty Coverage:
   • Generators are warrantied against any defects in workmanship and materials for a period of 12 months or 1000 operating hours, whichever occurs first, from the date of shipment, unless an extended warranty was purchased.
2. Responsibility for Inspection and Claims:
   • The purchaser bears the responsibility to conduct a thorough inspection of the Generator upon delivery. Any claims for damaged goods due to transit must be made directly with the shipping company in accordance with their policies.
3. Submitting Claims for Defects:
   • If the Generator is received with defects unrelated to shipping, a claim must be submitted to South-Tek Systems within one week of receiving the shipment. Claims should be directed to [e-mail]. South-Tek Systems reserves the right to deny claims at its sole discretion.
4. Factory Warranty Conditions:
   • The factory warranty is contingent upon:
     1. The use of OEM replacement parts and consumables.
     2. Adherence to the manufacturer's recommended Preventative Maintenance schedule(s).
5. Non-South-Tek Systems Components Warranty:
   • Any component not manufactured by South-Tek Systems, such as external compressors, boosters, dryers, etc., may carry its own warranty from the respective manufacturer and will be subject to that manufacturer's warranty terms.
6. Return Procedure:
   • Customers must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number from South-Tek Systems before returning any parts. Items returned without an RMA number may be denied and returned to the sender.
7. Exclusions and Limitations of Liability:
   • South-Tek Systems shall not be liable for damages resulting from:
     • • Normal wear and tear, water, fire, erosion, corrosion, explosion, misuse, or unauthorized modifications.
       • Losses, damages, or costs of delays, including incidental or consequential damages.
     • There are no warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, other than those explicitly stated herein, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose or use.
